Dr. Sue Pattison

Sue Pattison is an experienced counsellor, supervisor, trainer and author with a career spanning clinical practice, higher education and professional training.
She has worked extensively with adults, children, young people and families and currently maintains a busy counselling, supervision and training practice across the UK and France.
Alongside her clinical work, Sue has held academic positions at the Universities of Durham, Newcastle and Arden. She has designed and written diploma and degree programmes in counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision, as well as specialist training programmes for organisations internationally, including school counselling training for the European Union.
Sue has trained counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors in countries including Kenya, Hong Kong, South Africa and Turkey, bringing a broad international perspective to her work.
Her contributions to the profession have included examining counselling and supervision programmes at universities such as Cambridge, Keele, Manchester, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Teesside, and serving for many years as Joint Chair of the Children, Young People and Families Division of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Through TherapySPaCe, Sue shares her passion for lifelong learning, reflective practice and professional development, helping therapists, counsellors and supervisors remain curious, informed and confident in their work.
